About this site
Who writes Ad API Guide, who pays for it, and how the relationship to Treg is handled on every page.
Ad API Guide answers one question: how do you get advertising-library data into a research workflow, and what can that data actually tell you. It is written for growth teams and agent builders who want to see what competitors are running on Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn without maintaining scrapers, and who need to know which routes are permitted, which fields are real, and what each call costs.
Who writes here
Pages are written and re-checked by Shirley Lou, who runs research at Treg. There are no pseudonymous authors on this site.
Relationship to Treg {#relationship}
This site is published by the team behind Treg, a pay-per-call API that routes data requests across providers. Every third-party ad-library route measured on this site was called through Treg, and we earn money when readers use it.
We handle that in three ways:
- Every page that recommends a route through Treg carries a disclosure block directly under the verdict, not only in this footer.
- Every number is a call we made on a stated date against a declared advertiser cohort, with the raw response downloadable from the evidence page. The same cohort is sent through every route on the same day.
- Where a platform offers an official API, its access terms are quoted from the platform’s own documentation and the page says plainly when the official route is the better one.
None of that makes this an independent review site, and we do not claim it is. It makes the numbers checkable.
What is not on this site
- No claims about competitors’ ad spend. Public ad libraries do not expose spend for ordinary commercial ads, and no route can conjure it.
- No “best ad library API” rankings. Each page reports what a route returned on the cohort and says who it fits.
- No affiliate links.
